Of course our main concern and focus was making sure everything was good and the heartbeat was there! But along with our struggle to get pregnant came the possibility of twins! We knew this was a possibility going into it, so we were fully prepared. A couple of our best friends, The Eagles, have the most adorable twin boy and girl that we absolutely love! They seriously make twins look like a breeze! So we thought, no big deal, we can totally do this :) When deep down inside, I think we were both freaking out a little!
During those 2 weeks, I was a crazy person and took multiple pregnancy tests to make sure everything was still positive :) I know, it's nuts, but it helped me through those loooong couple of weeks.
The morning of the appointment was finally here - we were both so nervous and anxious, but we kept it to ourselves. We both played it cool all morning, like no big deal! Until we arrived at the doctors office. We NEVER have to wait at Dr. Lee's, but of course this is the one time we had to wait longer than 10 minutes. Longest 10 minutes of our lives.
Dr Lee finally walked in calm, cool & collected as always! Within a minute, we heard exactly what we were hoping for - the heartbeat. The most amazing sound we have ever heard! There is nothing else like it. She confirmed everything was looking perfect, measuring exactly where it should be and a strong heartbeat - exactly the news we were wanting to hear!
Now the next question - how many? After looking around to make sure, she told us we had one perfectly healthy baby!!! Even though we were fully prepared for the news of twins, hearing that it was only one took a little stress out of it all :)
During these first few weeks, I wanted to start tracking my baby bump progress - here is my first pic at 6 weeks!
