9 week appointment and sonogram!

One of the good things about going through fertility are the additional sonograms and checkups you get once you are pregnant! After our 7 week appointment with Dr. Lee we graduated on to our regular gynecologist, Dr. Hagood. As excited as we were to "graduate" to normalcy, we were sad to leave Dr. Lee and her staff. They made a difficult experience so much easier. And after being in their office multiple times a week for many months, we got to know everyone pretty well. Bittersweet day!

Most people have to wait until 12 or 16 to 18 weeks before they get another sonogram, but we got another one at 9 weeks! We hadn't been to Hagood since we were pregnant, so this was considered the first prenatal appointment. We couldn't wait to see and hear the baby again - and were anxious to get one more confirmation that everything was still looking good.

We were shocked at what a difference just two weeks made! It went from a tiny blob on the screen to a full on wiggly baby! As soon as it popped up on the screen you could immediately spot its arms, legs, head and body and it was wiggling all over the place! It brought tears to our eyes - we could not believe how much it had grown and that we could actually see it move already. Amazing experience! Everything looked perfect and Hagood gave us the confidence that we were wanting - everything was still looking great! Such a relief! I finally feel like I can breath and I can finally let myself celebrate!
