Let the 2nd trimester begin!

We made it through the 1st trimester! I was excited to hit week 12 for a few reasons - 1) The sickness and exhaustion are supposed to come to a halt! The first 6 weeks were rough for me, so I was ecstatic the first day that I actually felt semi normal and didn't get sick!  And 2) We can move on to the "safe" zone! We totally understand that we will continue to worry throughout the pregnancy and the rest of this little ones life, but we can breathe a little easier knowing we made it to 12 weeks. 

We also have the option for another sonogram at 12 weeks. The 12 week sonogram is an optional sonogram where they do some Chromosomal testing. We decided to go ahead with the testing and also get the chance to find out if we were having a boy or a girl! After quite the scare, we received confirmation that everything came back normal and healthy! THANK GOODNESS! Besides the testing, we had a great sonogram - the baby was moving around and kicking like crazy, SO much fun to see! It actually looks like a tiny little baby now!

Another plus out of this sonogram is that we were able to find out the gender of the baby! We are having a sweet baby BOY!!! We couldn't be more excited! 

We always knew if we had a boy that we would continue the Goodwin tradition and name him William Goodwin IV. I of course wanted to put a modern spin on the tradition, so instead of calling him the usual Will or William, we will use the last 4 letters in William and call him Liam! 

I follow a blog of a girl I went to college with and she does this cute little questionnaire about her pregnancy in each post. I loved this idea and wanted to start doing it too!  I realize most of you probably aren't interested in reading this each week :) but it's a fun thing for me to do and look back on one day!

How Far Along? 13wks & 3 days - I am a little behind on the 12 week update....

Size of the baby: Lemon

Total Weight Gain: 2 pounds - I am not too sure about this question...I may be skipping it as the number gets higher :)

Maternity Clothes: Not yet, but its getting close! Everything still fits and buttons, but it's all definitely getting tighter and uncomfortable!

Stretch Marks: No

Best Moment This Week: Finding out our baby is good and healthy and that its a baby BOY!!

Sleep: yes, not a huge problem here yet. 

Miss anything? Energy - it's been a lot better the past couple of weeks, but not 100% quite yet. 

Movement? Not yet, but I can't wait!

Food Cravings: Carbs carbs carbs! Potatoes, pasta, French fries... 

Belly Button In Or Out? In

Symptoms: The 1st six weeks were bad - i was sick everyday and exhausted! I never thought it would end! Around week 11 it lightened up, which has been great!!

Wedding Ring On or Off? On 

Happy Or Moody Most Of The Time? That depends on who you ask :) I would say happy, except when I wasn't feeling well. 

Looking Forward To: Christmas!
