23 Weeks

Today we had our monthly sonogram! I LOVE these appointments! It's so cool to see him grow month to month.  Everything looked perfect and he is looking so cute :) He is measuring right on schedule and is growing just as he should! He is coming in at 1.9lbs so far! We got some really good shots of him this time! Great profile shots as he was opening and closing his mouth and touching his hands to his face, it was awesome!  They said he has really long legs, which I love! I was hoping he was going to have long legs like Trey and not be short like me!

And I have to say we have the best Dr's ever. The entire staff and both Dr's at this office are great, and Dr. Rinehart is amazing. He always makes you feel like you have the cutest, healthiest most perfect baby he has ever seen! He always uses words like "glorious" and "beautiful" and "perfect" when talking about all the different parts they are looking at. He'll tell us what a cool kid we have made and then congratulates us on doing such a good job :) I love it! I realize he says this to every patient, but you sit there feeling so confident and great that you have, by far, the best baby there is!  Here are a few pics from the sonogram!

Head with arm and hand next to his face!

Cute little arm :)

Another good profile shot, this is my favorite this month!

Now that I am 23 weeks along, I have found myself really loving everything about this pregnancy. Not that I haven't loved being pregnant so far, but you gain a whole new perspective as the weeks go by and you really start feeling him. The first 12 weeks, for me at least, were rough. I was super excited and grateful that we were finally pregnant and couldn't be happier! But along with those feelings came constant worry about whether or not everything was going to be OK. On top of that, I felt terrible all day every day, your body is changing in the strangest ways, your not showing nor can you feel anything inside of you. That all changed in an instant as soon as I realized that I was feeling him move around in my belly. It finally all becomes so real. I can even move my belly around and he will kick back or move, which is just so cool. It's like the first connection I can make with him before he is actually here. I love it. And I love that Trey can finally be a part of this and feel him too! At this point, I have to say I have no complaints about it all. I love feeling him move each day and I love watching my bump grow month to month (or week to week!).

How far along?  23 Weeks!

How big is Liam this week?  Mango

Total Weight Gain? 14lbs

Maternity Clothes? Mixture of both! Hoping it stays that way for while so I don't have to spend any more money on clothes that I will only wear a few more months! I am ready for warmer weather so I can get into more dresses and Maxi dresses!

Best Moment of the Week? The best moment of this week has been all the movement I've been feeling from Liam and seeing his cute face on the sonogram :)

And I have to say, another great moment this week (not baby related) is when we purchased Zac Brown Band tickets!! We are obsessed with Zac Brown! We have them playing in our house at all times. We have stalked their website for months waiting for a Dallas show announcement and they finally posted it! April 19th, couldn't be more excited!!

Trouble Sleeping? Yes, the trouble sleeping has officially kicked in. I can't seem to get comfortable and my back and legs are aching through the night. And I get a charlie horse in my foot every few nights too. I think this whole not sleeping thing is so unfair - I should be able to get as much sleep as I want before I am completely sleep deprived once Liam arrives :)

Miss Anything? Sleeping

Movement? All the time! It's such a fun feeling!

Food Cravings? Nothing overwhelming, but sweets are definitely coming into play. Especially Frozen Yogurt!

Belly Button - In or Out? Still in, but stretching...a lot!

Symptoms? Aching back, legs and sleepless nights! I know this will only get worse as the weeks pass....

Wedding Ring - Off or on? On

Happy or Moody? Moody - as in I can cry within a split second. I was driving to work the other morning and this country song came on that Trey and I have always made fun. It's called Watching You by Rodney Atkins and it's about a little boy who looks up to his dad and wants to be just like him, but it's super cheesy.  Now that we are having a boy, I can't help but think about Trey and Liam!  Then the other morning, it came on and I started bawling! It was the strangest thing and the first time it has happened to me so far! It was pretty funny!

Looking Forward to? Seeing this little guy on March 16th!
