May 2015

I can't believe it's already June and summer is here! This past month has been pretty brutal with the drowning we have had for the past one million days, we have had the worst cabin fever! Definitely excited to see the sun finally come out!

Another busy month in the books - my birthday, Mother's Day, Bachelorette party, Birthday Parties, Weddings and lots of time indoors :) Here are a few pictures from the month!

My birthday was not a big to do this year, which is exactly the way I wanted it! Trey and I both took off work the actual day of, which was a Tuesday and just hung out! We took Liam to school, had Mexican food for lunch (of course!) and then went shopping all day! You don't realize how little you get done with a toddler in tow, so it was nice to go from store to store looking for house stuff without getting Liam in and out of the car! Other than that, Lauri took me to a fun birthday brunch at Mexican Sugar! We hardly ever get time just her and I anymore, so this was definitely needed and appreciated!

The next weekend was Mother's Day and we decided to drive down to Houston to visit Trey's family! Those weekends always fly by way too fast, but we had a great time anyway! Leann brought out all of Trey and Andy's old trucks from when they were kids, Liam was in HEAVEN! He played with this big box of cars and trucks the entire time.

The following weekend was Megan's bachelorette party! Her and all of her friends came to Dallas to stay with me and get out of Lubbock for a bit! We had an absolute blast! We stayed in Friday night and had dinner and drinks. Saturday we had brunch, got a blow out, went to dinner and then out for the night! The weekend was so fun and went by way too fast! Although I don't think my body can handle a weekend like that again for a while :)

Trey convinced me to agree to a Frisco Rough Rider's baseball game the Sunday after the bachelorette weekend. I was exhausted, but since he had been given tickets from work, I said yes :)  And I am glad we did it - the weather turned out to be beautiful! And Liam has a great time, we'll be there a lot this summer, I'm sure!

The next weekend was Memorial Day weekend, and it rained almost the ENTIRE TIME!!! I have never been so stir crazy in my life. We were so bored, we decided to paint our gigantic playroom that we have upstairs. A 19x25 room, both ceilings and walls. That's how you know we were bored - we are not big DIY'ers, so this was a big task for us :) But I am SO glad we finally did it! This was the first step into putting that room together, so now I can get moving on the rest of it!

It's hard to tell in the pictures, they really do not do the room justice of just how AWFUL it looked - but this room was 2 shades of a terrible green. We changed it to white and a light grey. Looks a million times better!

We also had Ethan's 1st birthday that weekend!! Thankfully the rain stopped for the party, and the kids had a blast. Natty of course did an awesome job on the party and set the bar pretty high for the rest of us :) I didn't take any pictures - these were the only two someone sent to me! Happy Birthday Buddy!

After the party we went over to our neighbors house for some German Food! We have recently become friends with our neighbors and he is from Germany! He actually owns a brewery out in McKinney! They have a little boy that is 4 and Liam and him play so well together! It's fun having someone so close to hang out with and for Liam to be friends with!

The last weekend was pretty low key, besides a wedding we went to! One of Trey's co-workers got married in Las Colinas on Saturday night. We had the WORST flooding Frisco had had this month the morning of the wedding, and so did the surrounding area's. But luckily, it all cleared up before that evening and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful nights. Which made for a beautiful wedding and reception!

Here are a few more random pictures from the month!
